Course Description:
Learn how to use HTML, XHTML and CSS to format text, add graphics, animation techniques, javascripting to create websites from the ground up. All this WITHOUT the use of a WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) web editing program such as Dreamweaver, Adobe GoLive, or Front Page.

1836 & 1864 are onground (OG) courses. We meet in Room 4610 on the Oceanside Campus. It is a PC and MAC lab. Laptops welcome. 1836 meets Mondays from 1:30 to 5:15. 1864 meets Wednesdays from 5:30 to 9:15.

We will use Blackboard in this course.

Grading & Evaluations:
Your final grade will be based on your performance on exercises, projects and participation on Blackboard.

Total Possible Points = 500

  • Exercises: 200 points (40%)
  • Project One: 75 points (15%)
  • Project Two: 100 points (20%)
  • Final Project: 125 points (25%)
  • Blackboard and Class Participation: Extra Credit (that extra nudge that helps)
